Graffiti protection

The protective layer

With suitable, proper preservatives, and impregnation graffiti can be removed without damaging the protected area. Moreover these preservatives give protection against any staining, erosion, and air pollution, UV radiation and against animal feces, as well. Impregnation helps to close the open pores of the building materials and thus the area becomes water-repellent. However, the ability of water-vapor of the materials remains. Impregnation prevents that the graffiti dirt / staining gets in the pores, and it makes to cleaning easier. Graffiti protection is based on the appropriate preservatives of the surfaces, and of course the related removal method and the regular monitoring of the protected surface. Requirements for preservatives

Water-based, primary anti-graffiti coating has to have the following features:

  • transparent, it does not cause any color-differences on the surfaces
  • respiration-active, vapor-open, it has got the capacity to diffuse and also has the
    hydrophobic capabilities
  • non-flammable, hazardous gases will not be formed in case of any smoke or fire
  • not serve as breeding ground for the microorganisms
  • solvent
  • graffiti can only be removed without chemicals if we use high-pressure,
    hot-water steam jet machine
  • 5 year durability
  • have an independent laboratory test results and references


Removal from the protected surface

With high-pressure hot-water washing jet-machine the surface has to be heated first ( 60 – 80 C° ).
Then the softened wax will be reactivated, simply peeled from the surface by 60-100 bar pressured water. With the wax layer
the graffiti is removed together in the same time
Only the washed surface has to be impregnated again.
